Brownie Macintosh is a performing artist, a published songwriter, author and actor. He lives currently in Newmarket, NH with his wife. Kip of 28 years. He tours with a musical act for children “Julie & Brownie” http://www.juliebrownie.com/. He has one son, “Jud” a recent graduate of Maine College Of Art.
Besides composing music for his own shows, Brownie has written songs successfully with world wide releases for The Kingston Trio, The Irish Rovers, Atlantic Music Corp, Time Warner, Cherry Lane Music Corp, Nova on PBS and many more. Most recently completed a five song contract with Alinea Publishing of Copenhagen, DK with songs to assist Danish children to learn English.
As an actor, He has appeared in over 50 TV commercials/PSA’s, two full length movies for the History Channel, and one bizarre film entitled “People From Space” which is available on DVD and seen from time to time on the Canadian scare channel.
His third children’s book “The Great Veg-Out” based on an original song collaboration with former Broadway singer/hoofer Rhoda Butler is coming in July in the form of a coloring book/CD combo kit.
